Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

WaLeads ("we", "us", "our") is a service operated by Sachin Nagpal, sole proprietor of WA LEADS (Udyam Registration: UDYAM-HR-03-0152693), based in Faridabad, Haryana, India. This policy explains how we handle data when businesses use WaLeads to manage WhatsApp conversations with their customers.

2. Information we collect

From businesses (our customers):

  • Name, email, password (encrypted), business name, owner name
  • WhatsApp Business phone number
  • Knowledge base content and greeting messages you configure

From end customers (people messaging the business):

  • WhatsApp phone number
  • WhatsApp display name
  • Message content sent to the business's WhatsApp number
  • Timestamps of conversations

3. How we use information

  • To deliver the core service: receive customer WhatsApp messages, generate auto-replies, and surface leads to the business owner
  • To authenticate business owners logging into their dashboard
  • To generate AI-powered auto-replies using Anthropic's Claude API based on the business's configured knowledge base
  • To send and receive messages via Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API

4. Third-party services

We share data only as needed to operate the service:

  • Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) — to send and receive WhatsApp messages on the business's behalf. Subject to Meta's privacy policy.
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — message content is sent to generate AI replies. Anthropic does not train models on this data per their API terms.
  • Railway — our hosting provider, where data is stored.

We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers.

5. Data storage and security

Data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database hosted on Railway's infrastructure (servers located outside India). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Authentication uses signed JWT tokens. We retain data for as long as the business account is active.

6. Your rights

You can:

  • Access, edit, or delete your business account data via the dashboard
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated lead data by emailing us
  • End customers may request their data be removed by contacting the business they messaged, or us directly

7. Children

WaLeads is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
